Since 2022, Carbotainer Proyectos SL, has actively participated in the AD_GRHID project: “Advanced Technology to increase the flexibility and resilience of Distribution networks through hybrid AC/DC microgrids of Renewable energy, solid-oxide electrolysis, battery of fuel and storage of recyclable and watertight Hydrogen. This Project has been funded by CDTI trough the Science and Innovation Missions 2022 program.

This initiative covers an important part of the hydrogen value chain, whose objective is to research and develop new products and systems. The project has been awarded an incentive of 3.3 million euros out of a total budget of 4.8.

Ad-Grhid is made up of a consortium of 8 companies: Magtel, Ingelectus, Eléctrica de Villanueva de Córdoba, H2B2 Electrolysis Technologies, Nasika, Premo, Protio Power and Carbotainer Proyectos SL.

The activity of Carbotainer Proyectos S.L. is focused on research for the development of a gaseous hydrogen storage system for prolonged periods through the manufacture of type IV tanks with thermoplastic and thermostable materials reinforced with continuous carbon fibers , also implementing the use of ultra-porous adsorbers that allow increasing storage capacity and high barrier materials that allow long storage periods with low diffusion rates (liner modified with graphene oxide (GO)).

CARBOTAINER, FINALIST IN THE CEL EMPRESA AWARDS

Carbotainer has been a finalist in the awards given by the Spanish Logistics Center (2016 CEL Awards), for the smart composite bottle project. Specifically, it has received recognition in the company category, in an event that took place on April 21, coinciding with the celebration of Logistics Day.
